Local executives step up to lead year-round campaign to improve health in Central Virginia
RICHMOND, Va., December, 4, 2025 — Through the American Heart Association’s Heart of Central Virginia campaign, Joseph Bartholomew and John Lewis, volunteer co-chairs and local executives with Rockefeller Capital Management, will lead community-wide efforts to help ensure people in Central Virginia have the opportunity for a full, healthy life. Heart of Central Virginia engages companies, community leaders and individuals to make a lasting impact across the Four Chambers of the American Heart Association’s work: discovery, advocacy, access and knowledge.
The campaign will come together at the Central Virginia Heart Ball, celebrating hope and progress made through the dedication and passion of all who support the American Heart Association, a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone everywhere.
“Heart disease has touched both of our families in profound ways. Joe’s father-in-law recently passed after a long battle with heart disease and, over the years, both of us have seen many loved ones and clients struggle with serious heart conditions,” said Bartholomew. “These experiences are deeply personal and have strengthened our resolve to make a difference. Serving as co-chairs for the Heart Ball is our way of honoring those we’ve lost and fighting for a future where heart health is a priority for every family. Through the American Heart Association, we aim to support research, education, and prevention — because together, we can help save lives.”
John Lewis is a founding partner of Lewis Wealth Partners and serves as the team’s family wealth director. He began his career in 1986 at Central Fidelity Bank. With experience in the financial services industry, he has held roles at Lehman Brothers, UBS, SunTrust, Morgan Stanley and Truist before joining Rockefeller in 2024.
Joe Bartholomew is also a founding partner of Lewis Wealth Partners, serving as lead market strategist and portfolio manager. He began his investment career in 1996, holding key advisory positions at UBS, Morgan Stanley and Truist before joining Rockefeller Global Family Office.
“Joe and John have already brought exceptional vision and energy as this year’s co-chair. Their commitment to the American Heart Association’s mission, combined with a clear passion for improving the well-being of our community, makes them uniquely positioned to lead this year’s campaign,” Rich Reinecke, volunteer board chair for the American Heart Association in Central Virginia and co-managing partner and co-founder of Fahrenheit Advisors. “We welcome Joe and John as chair of the Heart of Central Virginia campaign, which unites leaders across our community to advance health and hope for everyone, everywhere.”
