Long Island Heart & Stroke Ball returns to Garden City

MELVILLE, N.Y., Oct. 9, 2025 — The American Heart Association, a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone, everywhere, announces Anthony Simeone, executive vice president and chief lending officer at Ridgewood Savings Bank, as chairperson of the 2025 Long Island Heart & Stroke Ball.

The annual celebration will take place Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at the Garden City Hotel in Garden City, N.Y.

Simeone brings more than 30 years of experience in the lending industry. Since joining Ridgewood Savings Bank in 2002, he has overseen all lending operations, including residential, commercial and consumer loan portfolios.

“The Heart Association is very dear to me. I lost both my mother and grandfather to heart disease,” said Simeone. “This disease can affect anyone. I’m honored to serve as chair of the 2025 Long Island Heart & Stroke Ball and proud to support a mission that saves lives. Let’s make this year’s event the most successful yet.”

Tara Schneider, executive director of the American Heart Association on Long Island, said Simeone’s passion and leadership will help elevate the campaign’s impact.

“Anthony’s personal connection and professional dedication make him an outstanding chair,” said Schneider. “His support will help us raise critical funds and awareness to fight heart disease and stroke in our community.”

The Long Island Heart & Stroke Ball celebrates the progress made in the fight against cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death in the United States and on Long Island. It claims more lives than all forms of cancer combined. The event honors the survivors, leaders and community members who are driving change and raising awareness about this largely preventable condition, while entertaining guests with dinner, dancing and a dynamic auction.
