Jones, M.D., FAHA, chair of the guideline writing committee for the “2025 AHA / ACC / AANP / AAPA / ABC / ACCP / ACPM / AGS / AMA / ASPC / NMA / PCNA / SGIM Guideline for the Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Management of High Blood Pressure in Adults”, is a past volunteer president of the American Heart Association and dean and professor emeritus of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi.
