Bailey Bullock Act bill signing 4.25.24
The Bailey Bullock Act, requiring all public and nonpublic schools in Maryland to have in place Cardiac Emergency Response Plans, was signed into law Thursday, April 25, 2024. The bill is named for the son of Patrice Bullock, bottom right, who died in May 2021 after a sudden cardiac arrest at his school. Friends and family of Bullock, as well as American Heart Association staff, board members and volunteers from the Baltimore & Greater Maryland division, and survivors of sudden cardiac arrest from across the state, were in Annapolis for the bill signing.
