Existing board members Grace Ayafor, MD, interventional cardiologist with Summa Health, and Zachary Goodson, director of construction, design & capital project management for Enbridge Gas Ohio, have been named president and chair of the board, respectively.

Additionally, Northeast Ohio has welcomed two new members to its board:

  • Laura Kish, senior director – platforms and data management, The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company
  • Holly Hogston, Esq., corporate counsel - GPD Group

“All of these passionate individuals will help lead us to new heights as we aim to cut deaths from cardiovascular disease in half by 2030,” explained Lisa Wheeler-Cooper, executive director of the American Heart Association in Northeast Ohio. “Through guidance, leadership and strategic direction, the board drives our local impact as we work to build a world of longer, healthier lives.”

In her role at Summa Health, Ayafor specializes in women’s cardiovascular health and interventional cardiology. She also serves as director of cardiac rehabilitation.
