DALLAS, October 21, 2025 — Heart disease remains the top killer of women, and the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women® movement aims to change that by closing gaps in care, championing community support, and empowering women to prioritize their heart health.
The Dallas division of the American Heart Association proudly announces Sandi Karrmann and Paola Arbour as Co-Chairs of the 2026 Dallas Go Red for Women initiative. These two powerhouse leaders bring unmatched expertise, vision, and heart to the local movement to raise awareness and drive action against cardiovascular disease, which affects 45% of women over the age of twenty.
Sandi Karrmann is a respected human resources executive known for her warmth, authenticity, and strategic insight in leading global people strategies. Her career spans senior roles at Kimberly-Clark, Tenet Healthcare, Yum! Brands, and PepsiCo. She actively serves on local and national nonprofit boards, including serving on the board of The Joint Corporation, bringing heart and vision to her role as co-chair of the Dallas Go Red for Women campaign.
Paola Arbour is a nationally recognized technology executive known for leading large-scale digital transformation across Fortune 500 companies. As Chief Information Officer at Tenet Healthcare, she also serves on the Board of Directors for Texas Capital Bancshares, Inc. and the Advisory Board for the Michigan State University Broad College of Business. Her service as co-chair of the Dallas Go Red for Women campaign underscores her dedication to equitable health for all and her passion for community and philanthropic engagement.
“Sandi and Paola exemplify the kind of leadership that inspires action and drives meaningful change,” said Doreen Griffith, Chair of the American Heart Association Dallas Board. “Their combined experience and passion for empowering women make them the perfect duo to lead this year’s initiative.”
Gaps in research, treatment, and funding have left women undercounted and under-supported. One source of support they can count on is each other. Women connect with other women for information, motivation, and inspiration. Events celebrating the 2026 Dallas Go Red for Women movement further this support system, highlighting the power of community to create better health outcomes for all women.
This year’s initiative will culminate in a celebratory Dallas Go Red for Women luncheon on March 6, 2026. Guests will enjoy lunch, hear from survivors and advocates, and celebrate the strides made in women’s heart health. The luncheon will also feature a Hands-Only CPR experience, a silent auction, and celebrate local efforts driving change in the community. With its blend of elegance, purpose, and empowerment, the event promises to be one of the most anticipated gatherings of the season.
Go Red for Women is nationally sponsored by CVS Health. For more information about the Dallas campaign or to get involved, visit www.Heart.org/DallasGoRed or contact Meghan Dours via email at Meghan.Dours@heart.org.
