DEWEY BEACH, Del., March 8, 2026 — The American Heart Association, Delaware, hosted its first-ever Bubbles and Bags on March 4 at the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach, in support of the statewide Go Red for Women® campaign. The American Heart Association, a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone everywhere, brought together women from across the state for an evening of connection, generosity and purpose.
The social hour featured an exclusive designer handbag auction, executive networking and education on why the Go Red for Women campaign is critical to the health of women in Delaware. The event hosted over 50 attendees and raised an impressive $5,000 to support the lifesaving mission of the American Heart Association.
“Bubbles and Bags was a beautiful reminder of what happens when women come together with purpose,” said Ashley Foster, senior vice president and chief people officer, Beebe Healthcare, 2026 Delaware Go Red for Women chair. “From the energy in the room to the generosity shown throughout the evening, our community showed up in a powerful way to support the Go Red for Women movement. Every bid placed and every connection made helps us move closer to a future free of heart disease and stroke for women right here in Delaware.”
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women, yet many do not know it. Through Go Red for Women, the American Heart Association is working to ensure women know their risk factors, understand the importance of their cardiovascular health and feel empowered to take action for themselves and their loved ones.
Building on the success of this inaugural event, the 2026 Delaware Go Red for Women Experience will take place Friday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. The afternoon will focus on connection, education and fun while equipping women with the knowledge and resources they need to live longer, healthier lives.
Bubbles and Bags was sponsored by Beebe Healthcare. Go Red for Women is nationally sponsored by CVS Health, and the Delaware Go Red for Women Experience is locally sponsored by Beebe Healthcare, ChristianaCare and others. About Go Red for Women®
The American Heart Association’s signature initiative, Go Red for Women®, is a comprehensive platform designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women globally. While the majority of cardiac events can be prevented, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in women, claiming the lives of 1 in 3 women. For more than two decades, Go Red for Women has encouraged awareness. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power of women to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. It challenges them to know their risk for heart disease and take action to reduce their personal risk. It also gives them tools they need to lead a heart-healthy life. The Go Red for Women movement is nationally sponsored by CVS Health, with additional support from national cause supporters.
