Geneva, OH, September 9, 2025 — Currently, nearly half of all U.S. adults are living with high blood pressure, a major health threat that many people don’t realize they have, according to the American Heart Association.

Research from the American Heart Association links regular blood pressure monitoring outside a doctor’s office to lower blood pressure, improved blood pressure control and a significantly reduced risk of serious health issues, including heart attack, stroke, kidney disease and more.

That’s why, in August, the Greater Cleveland American Heart Association launched its fourth Libraries with Heart location in Ashtabula County.

The American Heart Association’s work with the Ashtabula Foundation and a private donor provides library patrons with access to a self-monitoring blood pressure kiosk, the ability to check out a blood pressure kit and access to printed information to help manage their blood pressure. This initiative supports the American Heart Association’s mission to be a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone, everywhere.

The initiative aims to improve access to vital resources and reduce barriers to care. Expanding Libraries with Heart empowers community members to manage their high blood pressure and know their numbers.

The Libraries with Heart program is available at the following locations:

  • Andover: 142 W. Main Street, Andover, OH 44003
  • Conneaut: 304 Buffalo Street, Conneaut, OH 44030
  • Geneva: 860 Sherman Street, Geneva, OH 44041
  • Kingsville: 6006 Academy Street, Kingsville, OH 44048

An additional Libraries with Heart location will open soon at Harbor-Topky Memorial Library.
